Whitetail
Alberta is famous for monster whitetail deer scoring as high as 200 Boone and Crocket inches! Our whitetail hunters typically hunt the Eastern foothill region of the Rocky Mountains, west of Calgary and Edmonton, Alberta. This area has been consistently producing a large number of trophy whitetails over the past decade and the numbers are getting even stronger.
Archery hunters traditionally hunt for in late August and early September over natural mineral licks and along feeding areas, utilizing ladder stands and enclosed ground blinds. Weather during this time of year is typically very mild with daytime temps in the mid 50's with nighttime temperatures dipping to the freezing point.
Rifle and muzzeloader hunting takes place during the rut, from late October to mid November. Ladder stands or enclosed, heated ground blinds are utilized on travel corridors, scrape lines and ridges where mature bucks are searching for hot does. Weather during this time of year averages close to freezing during the day with nighttime temps dipping to below zero.
All of our 6 day whitetail hunts include deluxe accommodations in a modern cabin with full amenities, 3 great meals per day, guide fees, transportation, animal prep, license, tags and airport pickup/drop. Ask about adding a Mule Deer tag to your whitetail hunt for that awesome Alberta double!!
