ELK HUNTS

Canada Elk hunting - Alberta Elk hunting - British Columbia Elk hunting

Elk

Elk are hunted in both Alberta and British Columbia and represent one of the few places left in North America where a hunter can hunt Elk, during the rut, with a rifle, muzzeloader or bow and arrow.

Our archery hunts are typically 10 days in length starting in late August and ending in early October.

Our rifle and muzzeloader hunts are also 10 days in length and take place in mid October to early November.

Pack in, horseback trips utilizing spot and stalk and calling setups are traditionally the methods of choice during the rut in both providences, with hunters harvesting bulls in excess of 300 Boone and Crockett inches an annual occurrence. Comfortable, heated canvas wall tents or heated wood hunter and guide cabins, depending on camp location, are utilized in our remote, mountainous regions of our hunting areas to ensure that our hunters are as close to the action as possible.

Weather during September is typically very mild with daytime temps in the low to mid 60's with evening temps hitting the freezing mark. October brings slightly cooler daytime temps of low to mid 50's with evening temps routinely at the freezing mark.  This is a beautiful time of the year to be hunting the Canadian Rockies!!

Ask your pro staff member about adding a Mule Deer tag to your Elk hunt for that super combo hunt of a lifetime!!
