Black Bear
Black Bear are plentiful in both of our Alberta and British Columbia foothill hunting areas. Black Bear are traditionally hunted in the spring of the year, usually in the month of May, when the bears are emerging from their dens, eager to replace the fat burned during the long winter. Hunting methods consist of spot and stalk hunting primarily with occasional stand hunting where bears have been feeding heavily.
Both of our hunting areas allow a hunter to harvest 2 Bears during their trip, making for a memorable adventure and a great opportunity to harvest a 6 foot or larger bear and to take that cinnamon or blonde bear that you have been after.
Weather during the spring bear hunts is typically very mild with sunny daytime temps in the mid 60's with evening temps dropping to the mid 30's.
Our 6 day Black Bear hunts are typically done from a remote, heated tent camp or remote cabin, well within the Canadian Rocky Mountains. Deluxe accommodations are available for a small additional fee in you so choose. Transportation to the camp is done by 4x4 truck or ATV, depending upon hunter preference and camp location. Great trout fishing in the surrounding mountain streams is also available on all of our spring bear hunts, ask your pro staff member for details.
All Black Bear hunts include 3 great meals per day, guide fees, transportation, license, tags, animal prep and airport pick up/drop.
Book early as we only have limited availability in both of our Alberta and British Columbia hunting areas! |
